Central Aroostook Panthers (Mars Hill, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southern Aroostook Warriors (Dyer Brook, ME), 10-3 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashland for a Class D North challenge on Monday, May 20. Central Aroostook will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Southern Aroostook falls to 9-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME) to battle the Hawks in a Class D North challenge on Monday, May 20. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Hodgdon won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Madawaska (Madawaska, ME)
