Maine High School Softball - Penobscot Valley bounces Central

The Penobscot Valley Howlers routed the visiting Central Red Devils softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Howlers (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Schenck (East Millinocket, ME). The Wolverines go into the Class D North battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Schenck topped Shead (Eastport, ME), 9-2, in a league battle.
The Red Devils now sport a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Foxcroft Academy for a Class C North battle on Monday, May 20. Central will meet a Ponies squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Ponies record now stands at 3-10.
