Washington Township Senators (Valparaiso, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host DeMotte Christian Knights (DeMotte, IN), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Senators now own a 7-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hammond Academy of Science & Tech for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 23. Washington Township will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Hammond Central (Hammond, IN). The Hawks record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, DeMotte Christian falls to 3-6 on the campaign.
