Ohio High School Softball - Montpelier holds off Hilltop

May 17, 2024: West Unity, OH 43570

Montpelier Locomotives (Montpelier, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hilltop Cadets (West Unity, OH), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Locomotives now own a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroeville for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 22. Montpelier will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over New London (New London, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 21-6.

With the loss, Hilltop falls to 23-6 on the campaign.
