The crowd at Saturday's league battle between the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and the visiting Hastings Raiders (Hastings, MN), saw Simley's baseball team gain a win over Hastings by a tally of 8-2.
The Spartans (12-7) will now prepare for their battle against Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN). The Stars enter the non-league battle with a 13-6 record. In their last battle, Academy of Holy Angels was overwhelmed by Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN), 9-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Raiders face the Apple Valley Eagles (Apple Valley, MN) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 19. Hastings will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 5-12 record after their 16-9 league loss to Eagan (Eagan, MN).
