The Martin Luther Spartans (Greendale, WI) baseball trounced the host Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), 12-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Thomas More for a Metro Classic challenge on Tuesday, May 20. Martin Luther will clash with a Cavaliers team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI). The Cavaliers record now stands at 13-8.

With the defeat, Jefferson drops to 3-20 on the year. The J-hawks travel to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL) to clash with the Huskies in a Northern Illinois challenge on Monday, May 19. The Huskies go into the challenge with a record of 18-13. Harlem lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL)
