The Roosevelt Bears baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Melvindale Cardinals to 4 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.
The Bears now own a 14-13 record. They take the field next when they host Anderson for a Downriver test on Monday, May 19. Roosevelt will play a Titans team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI). The Titans record now stands at 18-9.
With the defeat, Melvindale drops to 16-13 on the year. The Cardinals host Erie-Mason (Erie, MI) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, May 19. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 8-14. Erie-Mason lost 24-8 in their recent non-league test against Whitmore Lake (Whitmore Lake, MI)
