Indiana High School Softball - Yorktown bounces New Castle

The Yorktown Tigers (Yorktown, IN) softball routed the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 13-3 in Saturday's league outing.

The Tigers now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northeastern for a non-league outing on Monday, May 19. Yorktown will encounter a Knights team coming off a 9-7 league win over Union City (Union City, IN). The Knights record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, New Castle moves to 10-8 on the season. The Trojans travel to Pendleton Heights (Pendleton, IN) to encounter the Arabians in a Hoosier Heritage outing on Tuesday, May 20. The Arabians come into the outing with a record of 11-14. Pendleton Heights lost 6-5 in their recent non-league outing against Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN)
