Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they host Vernon Hills for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 19. Maine South will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Maine East (Park Ridge, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 11-12.

With the loss, Glenbrook North falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to New Trier (Winnetka, IL) to battle the Trevians in a Central Suburban - South challenge on Thursday, May 20. The Trevians enter the challenge with a record of 6-14. New Trier lost 15-4 in their recent league challenge against Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL)
