In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Lincoln-Way East Griffins baseball team scored a tight 9-6 victory over the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings.
The Griffins (19-6) will now prepare for their game against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 17-7 record. In their last game, Neuqua Valley tipped St. Laurence (Burbank, IL), 9-4, in a non-league game.
