In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Smith Academy Falcons (Hatfield, MA) baseball squad triumphed over the host Mahar Regional Senators (Orange, MA), by a margin of 9-1.
With the win, Smith Academy betters its record to 9-7 on the season.
With the defeat, Mahar Regional falls to 3-11 on the season. The Senators travel to Pioneer Valley Regional (Northfield, MA) to encounter the Panthers in a Hampshire - West challenge on Thursday, May 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Pioneer Valley Regional won 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Turners Falls (Montague, MA)
