Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA), 8-0 in a league test.

With the win, Nelson County upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Governors host Altavista (Altavista, VA) to battle the Colonels in a Dogwood test on Friday, May 20. The Colonels come into the test with a record of 2-16. Altavista won 11-10 in their recent league test against Dan River (Ringgold, VA)

With the defeat, William Campbell falls to 3-12 on the season. The Generals travel to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA) to battle the Raiders in a Dogwood test on Friday, May 20. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 16-1. Appomattox County won 6-1 in their recent league test against Gretna (Gretna, VA)
