Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Burlington Red Devils (Burlington, MA), 3-0 in a league match.
Next up, the Minutemen clash with the Winchester Sachems (Winchester, MA) in a Middlesex match, on Thursday, May 19. Lexington will attempt to advance on its 12-3 season record. The Sachems come into the match with a 16-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Andover (North Andover, MA).
With the loss, Burlington drops to 4-7 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Somerville (Somerville, MA) to clash with the Highlanders in a non-league match on Thursday, May 19. The Highlanders come into the match with a record of 12-4. Somerville lost 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Boston Latin Academy (Dorchester, MA)
Match Summary
Burlington played a better match today against Lexington. There were many great in-system plays, but the team struggled with serve receive and couldn't keep a consistent offense going against Lexington. Overall, much improved but still highlighted areas to continue working on.
