Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Buckingham for a James River challenge on Friday, May 20.

With the loss, Amelia County falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Greensville County (Emporia, VA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 24. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 2-5.
