The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Eastern Tech Mavericks (Baltimore, MD) and the host Sparrows Point Pointers (Baltimore, MD), saw Eastern Tech's softball squad nip Sparrows Point by a count of 14-9.

The Mavericks now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carver A&T for a non-league match on Friday, May 20. Eastern Tech will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Hereford (Parkton, MD). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-1.

With the loss, Sparrows Point falls to 6-11 on the campaign.
