Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Islanders now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warhill for a Bay Rivers challenge on Thursday, May 19. Poquoson will face a Lions squad coming off a 2-1 league win over York (Yorktown, VA). The Lions record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Lafayette falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Rams host Warhill (Williamsburg, VA) to face the Lions in a Bay Rivers challenge on Friday, May 20. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Warhill won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA)
