The Masconomet Regional Chieftains routed the host Swampscott Big Blue softball squad by a final score of 14-3 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Chieftains (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Winthrop (Winthrop, MA). The Vikings go into the non-league battle with a 2-11 record.
The Big Blue now possess a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Saugus for a Northeast battle on Friday, May 20. Swampscott will meet a Sachems squad coming off a 18-3 league win over Swampscott (Swampscott, MA). The Sachems record now stands at 10-6.
