Wheaton North Falcons (Wheaton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Downers Grove North for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 19. Wheaton North will face a Trojans squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, St. Charles East falls to 23-5 on the campaign. The Fighting saints travel to Barrington (Barrington, IL) to face the Fillies/Broncos in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 21. The Fillies/Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 26-4. Barrington won 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL)
