The Stonington Bears baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Griswold Wolverines to 7 in the Bears league victory on Thursday.
The Bears (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 10-9 record. In their last challenge, Westerly beat Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI), 3-2, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Griswold falls to 10-9 on the season. The Wolverines host Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT) to encounter the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 10-8.
