In Thursday's non-league contest, the Gilmour Academy Lancers (Gates Mills, OH) lacrosse team held off the host Lake Catholic Cougars (Mentor, OH), by a margin of 11-10.
The Lancers (5-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Chagrin Falls (Chagrin Falls, OH). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-11 record. In their last challenge, Chagrin Falls edged Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH), 13-9, in a non-league challenge.
