Washington High School Softball - Meridian can't hold off Blaine

The Blaine Borderites softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Meridian Trojans to 5 in the Borderites league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Blaine improves its record to 16-2 on the year. The Borderites host Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA) to clash with the Lyncs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest game on Thursday, May 18. The Lyncs come into the game with a record of 10-7. Lynden Christian won 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, WA)
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Granite Falls Tigers (Granite Falls, WA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 18. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 9-9 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA).
