Ichabod Crane Riders (Valatie, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Riders now sport a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mechanicville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 23. Ichabod Crane will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Schuylerville (Schuylerville, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Catholic Central falls to 13-8 on the campaign.
