Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) and the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), witnessed Central's softball squad overcome Piscataquis by a final score of 19-9.

The Red Devils (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Bucksport (Bucksport, ME). The Golden Bucks go into the Class C North battle with a 12-0 record. In their last battle, Bucksport notched a victory over George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME), 9-2, in a league battle.

The Pirates now possess a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league battle on Monday, May 22.
