Wauconda Bulldogs (Wauconda, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grayslake Central Rams (Grayslake, IL), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 23-9 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard North for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 19. Wauconda will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 6-4 league win over Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 15-8.

With the loss, Grayslake Central falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The Rams host Mundelein (Mundelein, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 24-4. Mundelein won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Deerfield (Deerfield, IL)
