Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now sport a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host North Yarmouth Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. Maine Central Institute will face a Panthers squad coming off a 22-2 league win over St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 10-0.

With the loss, Mount View falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to face the Black Bears in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 22. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Maranacook won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Winslow (Winslow, ME)
