In Thursday's league contest, the Port Byron Panthers (Port Byron, NY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Weedsport Warriors (Weedsport, NY), by a margin of 13-1.

With the triumph, Port Byron moves its record to 15-4 on the year. The Panthers host Cato-Meridian (Cato, NY) to play the Blue Devils in a Section 3 Patriot contest on Saturday, May 20. The Blue Devils come into the contest with a record of 10-6. Cato-Meridian lost 11-8 in their recent league contest against Onondaga (Nedrow, NY)

In their next game, the Warriors play the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles (Jordan, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 19. Weedsport will attempt to move on its 5-12 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 15-1 record after their 27-2 non-league win over Bishop Grimes (East Syracuse, NY).
