Tri-County RVT Cougars (Franklin, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Westport Wildcats (Westport, MA), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Norfolk County Agricultural for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 22. Tri-County RVT will face a Rams squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Ursuline Academy (Dedham, MA). The Rams record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Westport falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Arlington (Arlington, MA) to face the Spy Ponders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. The Spy Ponders enter the challenge with a record of 12-3. Arlington won 21-8 in their recent league challenge against Melrose (Melrose, MA)
