In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Taylor Griffins baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Garden City Cougars.
The Griffins (8-24) will now prepare for their game against Richard (Riverview, MI). The Pioneers go into the non-league game with a 10-8 record. In their last game, Richard tipped Trenton (Trenton, MI), 6-5, in a non-league game.
The Cougars (4-19) will now prepare for their game against Melvindale (Melvindale, MI). The Cardinals go into the Western Wayne game with a 11-4 record. In their last game, Melvindale was edged by Annapolis (Dearborn Heights, MI), 3-2, in a league game.
