Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Pointers now own a 17-14 record.
