New York High School Softball - Valley Central bounces Warwick

May 18, 2026: Montgomery, NY 12549

In Monday's league match, the host Valley Central Vikings softball team scored a tight 9-2 win over the Warwick Wildcats.

The Vikings (15-3) will now prepare for their match against Monticello (Monticello, NY). The Panthers come into the Orange County Division II match with a 1-12 record. In their last match, Monticello was routed by Sullivan West (Lake Huntington, NY), 11-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 19. Warwick will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Middie Bears come into the match with a 3-14 record after their 9-4 league loss to Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY).
