The Classical Purples volleyball team (Providence, RI), went down 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI)

The Avengers (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI). The Hawks come into the State Championship Division challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Bishop Hendricken defeated Coventry (Coventry, RI), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Purples encounter the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) in a State Championship Division challenge, on Monday, May 23. Classical will attempt to move on its 2-14 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 3-0 league win over South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI).
