The Pope Francis Cardinals lacrosse squad (Chicopee, MA), was overwhelmed 20-12 in Thursday's league contest with the host Longmeadow Lancers (Longmeadow, MA)
Coming up next, the Lancers confront the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors (Sudbury, MA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 21. Longmeadow will attempt to improve on its 12-1 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 11-2 record after their 18-5 non-league win over Newton North (Newtonville, MA).
The Cardinals now sport a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Minnechaug Regional for a Valley Wheel contest on Tuesday, May 24. Pope Francis will battle a Falcons team coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Wachusett Regional (Holden, MA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-6.
