Cooperstown Hawkeyes (Cooperstown, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Westmoreland Bulldogs (Westmoreland, NY), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawkeyes now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host Frankfort-Schuyler for a Section 3 Center State II challenge on Friday, May 20.

With the loss, Westmoreland falls to 1-3 on the campaign.
