West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 13-3 record.
With the loss, Mapletown falls to 11-8 on the campaign.
