Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) and the host Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA), witnessed Nooksack Valley's softball squad prevail over Meridian by a count of 12-0.

The Pioneers now sport a 18-0 record. They play next when they host Blaine for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Thursday, May 19. Nooksack Valley will meet a Borderites squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Sehome (Bellingham, WA). The Borderites record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Meridian moves to 3-13 on the season. The Trojans host Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Thursday, May 19. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 11-4. Granite Falls won 19-3 in their recent league match against South Whidbey (Langley, WA)
