Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Wakeland upgrades its record to 20-12 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, May 27. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 31-7. Whitehouse won 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Lovejoy (Lucas, TX)

With the defeat, Poteet falls to 15-6 on the season.
