East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Franklin County Wildcats (Brookville, IN), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 11-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelbyville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 23. East Central will battle a Golden Bears squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Cathedral (Indianapolis, IN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 17-8.

With the loss, Franklin County falls to 16-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to South Dearborn (Aurora, IN) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 22. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 20-6. South Dearborn won 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Jennings County (North Vernon, IN)
