The Mitchell Kernels softball team (Mitchell, SD), was routed 16-2 in Friday's non-league test with the visiting Stevens Raiders (Rapid City, SD)

Coming up next, the Raiders encounter the Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 20. Stevens will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the test with a 9-1 record after their 14-1 league win over Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD).

The Kernels (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD). The Scoopers enter the test with a 1-10 record. In their last test, Sturgis Brown was routed by Brookings (Brookings, SD), 14-1, in a league test.
