Springfield Blue Devils (Holland, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Perrysburg Yellow Jackets (Perrysburg, OH), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they host Napoleon for a Northern Lakes challenge on Monday, May 22. Springfield will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Bryan (Bryan, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Perrysburg falls to 18-4 on the campaign.
