In Monday's league game, the visiting Gloucester Fishermen baseball team scored a close 5-1 victory over the Beverly Panthers.
The Fishermen (14-2) will now prepare for their game against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA). The Tanners enter the Northeastern - South game with a 13-4 record. In their last game, Peabody Veterans Memorial was overwhelmed by Beverly (Beverly, MA), 5-0, in a league game.
Next, the Panthers face the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 20. Beverly will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Witches enter the game with a 8-7 record after their 10-7 non-league loss to Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA).
