The Dan River Wildcats baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Chatham Cavaliers to 1 in the Wildcats league win on Monday.

The Wildcats now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Martinsville for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 20. Dan River will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-1 league loss to George Washington (Danville, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-16.

With the defeat, Chatham drops to 1-15 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA) to play the Raiders in a Dogwood test on Tuesday, May 20. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 12-6. Appomattox County won 13-3 in their recent league test against William Campbell (Naruna, VA)
