The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN) and the visiting Martinsville Artesians (Martinsville, IN), saw Decatur Central's baseball team beat Martinsville by a margin of 11-1.

The Hawks (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Franklin Community (Franklin, IN). The Grizzly Cubs enter the Mid-State battle with a 15-7 record. In their last battle, Franklin Community was overwhelmed by Center Grove (Greenwood, IN), 11-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Artesians face the Perry Meridian Falcons (Indianapolis, IN) in a Mid-State battle, on Tuesday, May 20. Martinsville will attempt to improve on its 0-17 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 6-13 record after their 7-6 league loss to Whiteland (Whiteland, IN).
