The Ponaganset Chieftains lacrosse squad scored 13 points and limited the host St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals to 12 in the Chieftains league triumph on Monday.

The Chieftains now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pilgrim for a Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, May 20. Ponaganset will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 17-6 non-league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Patriots record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, St. Mary Academy-Bay View falls to 0-14 on the year. The Bengals travel to East Providence (East Providence, RI) to clash with the Townies in a Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, May 20. The Townies go into the challenge with a record of 13-0. East Providence won 15-8 in their recent league challenge against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI)
