The Amherst County Lancers overwhelmed the visiting Rustburg Red Devils softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Lancers meet the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) in a Seminole challenge, on Tuesday, May 20. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Minutemen go into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Staunton River (Moneta, VA).

The Red Devils (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers go into the Seminole challenge with a 2-1 record.
