The Traverse City West Titans triumphed over the host Big Rapids Cardinals softball squad by a count of 14-9 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Titans play the Traverse City Central Trojans (Traverse City, MI) in a Big North challenge, on Wednesday, May 21. Traverse City West will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Coopersville (Coopersville, MI).

The Cardinals (4-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Morley Stanwood (Morley, MI). The Mohawks enter the Central State Activities Association-Gold challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, Morley Stanwood edged Chippewa Hills (Remus, MI), 15-5, in a league challenge.
