Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL), 10-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hillsboro improves its record to 9-14 on the year. The Hiltoppers travel to Greenville (Greenville, IL) to play the Comets in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 20. The Comets enter the game with a record of 21-8.

The Purple Panthers now hold a 10-17 record.
