West Virginia High School Baseball - University holds off Buckhannon-Upshur

May 2, 2022: Buckhannon, WV 26201

University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV), 9-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Hawks host Lewis County (Weston, WV) to battle the Minutemen in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 3. The Minutemen come into the test with a record of 7-9. Lewis County won 10-5 in their recent league test against Lincoln (Shinnston, WV)

With the defeat, Buckhannon-Upshur falls to 3-10 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Elkins (Elkins, WV) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 4. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 8-15. Elkins won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Grafton (Grafton, WV)
