Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Shenandoah Valley Academy (New Market, VA), 7-6 in a league test.

With the win, Eastern Mennonite upgrades its record to 1-9 on the season. The Flames travel to Blue Ridge (St. George, VA) to battle the Barons in a VISAA Virginia Independent test on Thursday, May 5. The Barons come into the test with a record of 2-9. Blue Ridge lost 12-2 in their recent league test against Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA)

With the defeat, Shenandoah Valley Academy falls to 0-5 on the season. The host Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 3. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 5-3. Randolph-Macon Academy won 13-9 in their recent non-league test against Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA)
