Kentucky High School Baseball - Somerset loses to Whitley County

The Whitley County Colonels crushed the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers baseball team by a count of 11-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Colonels now possess a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harlan County for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 5. Whitley County will face a Black Bears team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over South Laurel (London, KY). The Black Bears record now stands at 4-13.

Next, the Briar Jumpers face the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, May 4. Somerset will attempt to move on its 12-16 season record. The Lakers enter the bout with a 19-4 record after their 13-0 league win over Clinton County (Albany, KY).
