Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings face the West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 5. Central Cabarrus will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 6-0 league loss to Cox Mill (Concord, NC).

The Mustangs now have a 1-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carson for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Thursday, May 5. East Rowan will face a Cougars team coming off a 10-1 non-league win over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 7-11.
